I run about half of what BRS suggests for the HCGFO in a TLF 150 reactor. Test the reactor effluent for P04 to figure out when to replace it. Depending on what the tank P04 level is your GFO can be exhausted in a few hours or may last several months.
I ran the hc at half strength as well. I only ran it thinking I needed it but now I realize it only serves me when my reactor is in a tight spot to change often.
I wouldn't say HI capactiy could be tumbled more , from me experience it still pulverized with a high tumble rate. I keep mine simmering on top with flow and movement overall in the reactor. I run hi capacity right now but I will switch to regular once I get my phosphates down
Started using the high capacity and it seems to not work as good as the regular. After 2 weeks I am already noticing brown film on the glass. With the regular it took about 3-4 weeks before noticing the film algae
