High-flow corals for a 180g

Hi, I'm looking to set up a fairly large tank ~180 gallons just for a clown tang. My concern is that this fish requires a lot of water movement and the corals I'm accustomed to keeping are LPS, which don't like much flow. What are some corals that are suitable for a tank with a lot of movement? What kind of lighting/care would you recommend for these corals? I'm not really a fan of SPS but any suggestions you might have for this setup would be greatly appreciated.

i have a 180 with mainly lps and run a dart return with 2 tunze 6000's.its all about placement and flow.

it does move the sand a bit but it just piles up and doesnt move anymore after that.i just move the sand back.you need to play around with the current and move them to where they wont disrupt it.ive got it down now

Depending on your rockwork, you can create areas with less flow for those picky LPS's, plus you will be adding great dimension to your tank. Then you can have the best of both worlds and we all love being able to do that!

Many LPS like a good wave, IMO. If its too much move the coral into a cove or bounce the current off the glass/ rocks

The clown tang is going to be the centerpiece fish but what tankmates would you guys recommend? I was thinking a school of chromis, a dottyback, maybe a fairy wrasse and I also have a cherub angel I could move in with him.

OK, I'm actually going to start setting up this tank soon. Pictures are likely to follow. As I said the clown tang is going to be the centerpiece fish and I'll have a school of chromis. I also want a niger trigger. I'm not sure what other fish, if any, I'll add after that. Maybe a pair of firefish? Any suggestions?

Yup, have read all the posts about clown tangs but if anybody has an experiences with them they want to share I'd like to hear them. I'm really just getting the tank so I can have one.

I have no personal exp. myself. I just always hear the horror stories. Good Luck, as they are beautiful.
