hi guys and thx in advance for your help.

Two days ago my phosphates were 0.5 and now, after a day of phosban, they are at 0.3. Other than a water change, is there anything I can do to decrease PO4?

Also, I think one of the reasons I got the high phos rate is that my RODI filters needed changing. Are ther any other possible causes I should be aware of?

too much, I guess:) NLS, mysis, occassional spirulina/brine bloodworm (my mandarin devours it), live baby brine 2x weekly, seaweed once a week or so. probably more NLS than anything else.

one thing i realized i did wrong was, after my corals started to die, i continued to feed at the same levels. I should have cut back.

no, but do they take up muchroom? I have very little room left under the stand.

I tested the water again today and the phosphates are between 1 and 2:) Hopefully when I check tomorrow, they will be between 0 and 1 - or even less!

Now to get the nitrates down under 10:)

It is called a phosban reactor. They cost like 40 bucks at aquahut and you need to get a small pump. It can hang on the back of your sump or it can be mounted somewhere else.

The do work very well but be sure to follow the direction carefully when adding the Phosban- it must be rinsed! Also get the correct sized pump & don't overpower it. The 2 little Fishies brand phosban reactor is available many places, including online and most folks run it using a Maxijet 400 PH.
Good luck with it!!

If you get a small valve you can put it on the exit of the pump, before the reactor and control the flow very well.
