High Quality Info in 2 Great Sites

For anybody new to the hobby there are two great sites to checkout (in addition to Reef Central) if you want to learn very quickly using a free video format:

1. Bulk Reef Supply's website offers a great series named '52 Weeks of Reefing'. Each week they provide a new video on a different aspect of reef keeping. They are currently on week #39. All previous videos are available in their video archive.

2. Red Sea's website offers a video series on their Reef Care Program (RCP) which explains their comprehensive approach to maintaining proper water parameters and supplement dosing. Even though they offer a full range of products aimed at each aspect of their program the information they offer is very well explained and universally applicable to all reef aquariums regardless of products used.

There is an awful lot for a beginner to learn before tank setup in order to avoid mistakes that cost money and kill precious life forms. I wish these sites along with Reef Central existed back when I started in the hobby!

Good luck and happy reefing.

Thanks for sharing. I've checked out BRS's videos and some of them are really in depth, but I haven't checked red sea's yet. There's definitely a lot to know with this so its always good to explore your options.

Red Sea does an excellent job of explaining water chemistry and why, when and how you dose to maintain healthy levels of beneficial nutrients in your reef. It takes very little time to watch in exchange for getting a good grasp on a topic that has not been as well explained in any other source I've found in years of reefing. Happy reefing.

Not to forget the compatibility chart at Live Aquaria, plus size and life requirement info on various features.
