high salinity

Hey guys

I'm nee to the hobby and I've just bought a aqua reef 400 I've added dry rock and have now added live rock I accidently put to much salt in and the salinity is very high. I'm aware you should never do a water change while in the cycling process but would it be okay to keep it like that until it's fully cycled or should I do a water change .
Thanks

Just take a few cups of water from the tank and replace it with freshwater. Wait 10 minutes or so, test, and then repeat if needed. Piece of cake.

Since you had dry rock your tank isn't even really cycling yet, and it's going to have a hard time doing so with really high salinity. Just get it down to where it needs to be.

What do you mean?

The salinity was 1.035 but I've dropped it back now so it's all good thank you
