There are two species commonly (incorrectly) referred to as the high fin snapper-- Symphorichthys spilurus and Symphorus nematophorus. The former is usually agreed to be the high fin snapper. Let's just say that there is a dramatic size difference between the two, which is why I am asking. One species can be kept in fairly large tanks greater than 300 gallons (preferably 500), while the other will need excesses of over 1000 gallons. Both pretty much eat anything that moves and can fit into their mouths.
