im not talking about, a little bit of grazing/nipping.. im talking EAT IT as a main source of food..

no, hippo tangs will mostly forage for detritus and meaty foods.
any of the zebrasoma tangs and the bristletooth tangs will graze heavily on hair algea

Maybe Kole Tang from time to time. But I'd say that hair algae is to nasty you'd have to starve them to eat it. We have a hair algae problem in the store display tank lately and non of the three tangs we have touches them (a kole, a scopas, and a range shoulder).
