hippo tang with a hole in cheak

i just got a large hippo and it has a hole in the side of its cheak
what can i do to help this fish it eats every thing i feed and will swim right up and eat from your hand i want to try and give this fish a long happy life in its new home

A picture would help, but the problem could be head lateral line erosion (HLLE).

Providing good and stable water parameters, as well as a healthy diet should help your fish.

You might want to consider adding a vitamin supplement to your fish food. Selcon and Vita Chem are two popular choices.

What are you feeding?

I've had success with mysis, Thera-A and Algae sheets.

i am feeding 3 types off sheet alge mysis and about all the different frozen foods i will stop and get some vitamins for my fish also
the fish is fat and happy with no ich or anything but a small hole so i hope i can keep it and maybe it will get better
