i saw my hippo tang this am and it had this on it not sure wut going on i dont think it is ich. maybe rubbing on the rock?
please look past the algae im working on that issue right now i have to do a big water change and get a better skimmer. i gave up on the tank but now im trying to fix it

Looks like Crypto to me. Compare w/these pics:

You can treat with Quinine Sulfate, Copper, Formalin or Hypo. Basically, same as Ich.

Other thoughts that come to mind: Oodinium, Velvet, Brook? Worms eating away at the skin? Treating w/ Formalin is where I'd start.

...but it says it's on backorder. Quick Cure also contains Formalin and might do the trick. You should be able to get that in any LFS or here:

Couldn't find any Formalin based med or Prazi on Marine Depot. Any LFS (even a PetCO) should have Quick Cure in stock. But if it absolutely has to be Marine Depot or nothing, I'd say these two meds are your best bet:

Cupramine is a great copper-based med. Now, I've never used ParaGuard before, but I've read good things from people on here about it and also read that people say it's a good alternative to Formalin. So I can only assume it treats a lot of the same ailments that Formalin does.

I'll ignore the algae as you requested. But cyno isn't algae and you have a huge outbreak. Cyno is almost always due to water quality problems and (IMO) your problem wit it MAY (or may not, depending on cause) be bad enough to effect fish health and make it tougher for any fish to recover from disease or injury. You have so much cyno, you really can't kill it using a cyno removing product, without a big ammonia spike. You'll have to siphon it out and find the cause. very often, over-feeding is at the root of it.
I can't tell from your first post, is the fish rubbing on the LR? Any spots at all? How long have you had him? Water parameters? Other fish showing anything unusual? This fish does not look healthy at all, possibly HLLE. If it is HLLE, I'll bet its been caused by water conditions and will heal as the water improves. This is just my best guess, without more info, its impossible to diagnose.

Yes im I hav 90 gal tank. Im gonna do a 30gal change tonight. Maybe 40. I have 8 5gal buckets. Im hoping it helps I just got new skimmer sro1000
