Good try but your pic makes it hard to tell. It has a segmented carapace and tail like a lobster, but it seems as though a type of mantis shrimp would be more likely. Does it have antenae, claws, or a fanned tail? Can you get any more pics of it?
It does have antenae and a fanned tail but I couldn't tell about claws. I have only seen it this one time so more pictures are kind of a problem. Any idea on how to catch it?
Its a mantis for sure. Try posting over in the mantis forums on how to trap the little guy. Im sure someone there would also take him if you dont want him.
