So I have a small abalone type snail thing that was a hitchhiker on some rock that I bought a while back and I see him from time to time. I just noticed some milky cloudy substance coming from the rock, and noticed it was him spitting it out. (I am in the process of adding new snails fish shrimp...). What does the milky substance mean? Is it bad for my tank? Should I get rid of the little guy?

It sounds like it might be a Stomatella snail. As far as the milky substance goes, it was probably spawning. You might end up with a bunch of baby snails running around the tank or you might not. It's definitely a good sign though.
