Hitchhiker crab ID

Hey guys, first time saltwater tank keeper here. Still getting tank set up, water and filtration going and have picked up some live rock from LFS. Its been in the tank for 2 days now. Came home from work and have noticed this little guy in there. From what I could see of him im thinking a crab. Iv looked at some pictures but I honestly just can not figure out what he is. I will try and get a better picture but anu help is great.

Is the crab in the little black hole in the rock, center of the pic?

You're probably going to need to remove the crab in order to get a good enough pic for someone to identify it.

Does look like a crab. Be gentle with him, he might be harmless.
Take something small and gently poke it into the hole, he might scoot out. If that doesn't work, curve a clotheshanger into a hook and carefully try to tug the little thing out of there.
Do you have a sump or refugium to put him in?

probably a xanthid crab. not reef safe but a very cool crab.
