hitchhiker ID Help! purple stuff

sorry, new to forum, having some probs loading pics etc.
purple stuff, 3 inches across with raised areas sticking up about an 1/8 inch. soft and rubbery. i don't thinks its corraline, maybe a type of polyp? anyone have any ideas? thanks for your patience with me

sorry star polyp mat. How long has it been in the tank?

been in tank for about 48 hours. i bought in pa and live in nj, it was wrapped in paper and wet and was in sealed box but it for over an hour, don't know if i did it in by having it out too long. i didn't even know it was there

Star polyps are very hardy. Give it a few day and I bet you will start to see them come out.

That's my guess too, Green star polyps.
