It was bright white in the tank. When I got it out, the color is more tan. Very hairy arms and black eyes.

What kind of potato did you take that pic with? [emoji16]
I think if you can get a clear shot of its claws someone is more likely to be able to ID. I however, dont know. The back legs are fuzzy like my emerald crab but he is definately not white.

I believe the rule of thumb was always a hairy crab is a bad crab.

I think he's cool looking personally and would throw him in a sump or somewhere he can't damage anything
 
I've been trying to trap it for a couple months with no success. I saw it tonight peeking out of a rock so I grabbed the rock & submerged it in RO to coax it out. I've heard hairy crabs can be dangerous to coral or small fish so it has been banished. The color change was weird. If I see it in the sump, I'll be curious to see what color it will be.

It looks to hairy to be an emerald to me it really hard to tell with that picture though.
