Hitchhiker id

i have several of these hitchhikers in my 15. I'd like to add a picture but my ex girlfriend has my camera(you know how that goes). Anyways they all different sizes the largest maybe 2 - 3 inches tentacle to tentacle. They are brown/white many tentacled attached to a brown stem. They are sensitive to changes in light flow and touch, tentacles move around a lot, sometimes they retract almost all the way to where i cant see them. Anyone know what it is, i'm assuming they are fairly common since i have three, but im a noob.

Does the tube ever retract into the rock or just the tentacles into the tube?

my thought too.is it a hard tube with something like "feathers" poking out?or is it more like an anemone?

well its not a feather duster, i have several of those. The tentacles retract seemingly into the rock, definitely not into the 'tube'.

Another question i have is that most of them look like the one in the picture, but another one has much thicker tentacles, no stem, and is moving around freely from rock to rock

Could be a mojano. Another type of pest anemone.
