Hitchhiker- need id please.

Found this guy in my barrel after picking up live rock for the new aquarium.

Anyone have feelings on what he is? I'm leaning towards Xanthid after looking at lots of pics. I'll put up 2 pics of him.

Yes, most likely Actaeoides tomentosus, the red-eye crab. This guy is basically an algae picker, with secondary food choices worms, & smaller crustaceans. They'll also scavenge & eat detritus. Young individuals often create a burrow under a coral to hide in which they'll occupy for life otherwise they'll chose a rock crevice. As long as there's enough of it's favorite foods in the main tank it shouldn't start going after other things.
