Hithhikers gone wild!!!!!

What the heck? I have been told a few different things about this particular hiker. It's the worm like thing that burrows in a small twisty looking thing. Sort of resembles a little dog pile. My pro len is this. I have had a few "mature" ones on some rock. Over he past two days my tank has explosd with them. Tiny little white dog piles all over the rock and glass. They pop up in hours it seems. What is it? Is it bad? If it is bad, how do I kill it?

spirbolid worms? they are beneficial (if sometimes annoying) and will eventually calm down.

By "calm down" do you mean that some of them will go away and the remainders will be good, or will the ones that are already her be here forever?

Theyy will last only as long as there is something for them to filter out of the water column. They will not totally disappear, but they will stabilize at a cetain amount with a little die off.

Gottcha. So I need to clean my water, LOL? What is it they eat exactly?

they are filter feeders. they take nutrients out of your water (spare food, plankton, etc).

Strange. I have not fed in two days and that is when they exploded.
