Hm ph meter

Has anyone used the hm ph200 ph meter hand held what are your thoughts or what do you recommend for a ph monitor

There are many of us here who don't monitor PH, in most cases it's not worth taking the time to check it. It changes everyday during the day and as long as you have fresh air to your tank its going to be fine. I measured mine only once when I first setup any tank that I've ever owned.

I don't think that was the question I asked if you do or don't check your ph but for me who does check ph is that meter a good one

Sorry, but I thought I did answer your question. I was saying that most here don't monitor PH with my answer to you. So the answer is I doubt anyone is using one of these.

Sure someone here might be able to tell you about this particular meter, but again most don't test PH.

I personally don't like the handheld monitors, they are unreliable and must be stored properly when not in use. I am one of those people on here that monitors pH (though I don't really do anything with it). I would get a unit with a probe, calibrate it every couple of months with 7.0 and 10.0 reference solution and you are good to go. The probe will need to be replaced every couple of years, but they are cheap.

Check this one out, it is less expensive than the HM ph200 and IMO a better option.

I got this one because I plan on getting a Calcium reactor at some point and this will controll the C02 flow as well.
