Im having NO END of problems with these people. I purchased a CPR overflow that leaked. My wife scavenged the box the product came in, so i called customer service (AHEM) and explained the situation to a fella named COREY. Corey explained to me that he was not clear on how CPR handled returns without packaging and he would have to get back to me on that. I offered to call CPR myself to expidite the process, and corey gave me their number. A nice lady named Jamie assured me that CPR would have no problem accepting the item from P.A. I called Corey back and told him what CPR said, and his tone changed. He requested that i "at least" insure it, wich i agreed to do. I also explained that i had no problem with their service and intended to spend the refunded 100 bux right back in their store. 3 WEEKS goes by and no refund or response from them. I call and ask Corey if he recieved it he says no. Ok, but a package shipped insured priority mail from CT to IND. does not take 3 weeks to ship. When Corey finally admits to getting the package he informs my wife that he has to charge me 10 percent for not having the correct packaging. utter rubbish... why insure a broken item for 15 bux if knew i was going to get charged 10 percent on top of it? He also seemed more concerned about the "NICENESS" of my messages than helping me out. Ok long story short I finally get Corey to agree to refund me the money, again with assuranses that i would spend it all right back in his store...this was on monday, its now thursday and no refund. Coreys suggestion is that i call my bank. Refundung a credit card is RAPID. it takes MINUTES, not days. Im not happy with their service, and I dont have an overflow or a 100 bux at this point.

WetWilly,

I tried to explain to you on the phone what happened. This is clearly a communication issue, I do not recall the details of our first conversation as you do.

We spoke on Wednesday and we processed a full refund to your card on Wednesday. Our processing center posts the transactions every night. I do not know why your financial institution does not report this.

We processed your return within 4 business days of receiving it. I can't explain why the United States Postal Service took so long to deliver your package.

The "niceness" of your voice mails don't concern me, I'd also be upset if I thought someone was taking advantage of me. The threats are what bother me. To throw Reef Central in my face repeatedly is what I took the wrong way. If you want to report your experience with Premium Aquatics I invite you to do so. To receive nothing but great praise makes us appear to be machines and not the humans that we are. We do make mistakes. Trust me, we have nothing to gain by delaying your return.

Cory

Cory,
You suffer from the most common mistake that people fired from their positions as Sales/help representatives have. You seem to have frogotton the old addage that "THE CUSTOMER IS ALWAYS RIGHT". Your preoccuption with my attitude and your attempt to label my correspondance with you as threats I find very telling.I at least have some basis for being confrontational, Im the one out the 113 bux, right? This is a very small and well networked community, I heard good things about your store here, wich is why I chose to use you over MANY other stores. As of 11 am EST friday my account has STILL not been credited so i suppose ill waste another 2.50 (you have no 800#) on a call to Indiana to make sure you have the right number.........

In general the experience that I've had is that it takes up to five business days to post a refund to a credit card. All though it is electronic it does not happen instanteously.

I agree with the previous post. I don't know what your experience with Premium Aquatics was like, but it can and most often does take several days for a refund on your credit card. There are actually some credit cards that won't allow it at all. These guys have a great reputation and I'm sure your problem will be taken care of.

I have to agree with both Corey and Smcwhirt about the refund to your creditcard and the time involved.

The refund to your card is a fast and very easy process for the vendor. It's a matter of typing in your creditcard info, amount and press enter. That's it.

However than the money trail is just starting to be on it's way... The money leaves the vendors bank account and goes into the merchant account with the vendors processor (for example NOVA in our case). After spending some time in their account, it goes to your account with the bank. After spending some more time, it finally goes into your account.

The same is true for creditcard and even debitcard payments. Allthough a little faster than refunds, it still takes a significant amount of time. When we for example accept your creditcard and push the transaction through, it can take 2 to 3 day's before it finally is deposited into our account.

There is absolutely no way that the vendor can speed up this process. It's just the way the bank and financial institutions work. It's how they make their money as their are 100's of bilions of dollars each day "under way" for a few day's. That's a lot of interest.

If you are really concerned wether the money has been refunded, contact the vendor and ask for an authorization number of the transaction.
