Ho do zoos multiply?

Ok maybe this question has been addressed before but I am new to this forum and would like to know for my sake. I am aware that zoos reproduce by budding but I have a question that I have yet to find the answer for. I am thinking about applying all of my zoo frags to one rock and basically having a rainbow rock full of zoos. I have seen zoos do what, excuse my wording but i don't know how else to say this, looks like splooging into the water. I guess the correct term for this would be pollinating. Well the question at hand is if several zoos were on the same rock and they several polinate at the same time is it possible for them to cross pollinate and end up with a new strain. Thanks

I'm guessing that what you are seeing is some brown goo coming out of the mouth of your zoas. Most likely they are expelling some waiste.

If you put multiple zoa's on one rock the most dominate will most like prevail over time. If they are all very similar they may coexist, but IMO the more dominant aggressive zoas will usually push out the others.

There is no polynation like with plants. There aren't male/female zoas.

/me agrees!

and wanted to point out that they can split too! budding is much more common IMHO though.

A female zoa approaches a male and they start to talk for a while and when the conditions area right, in the middle of the night, They hug tight, and then if there is moon light. A new polyp is born... LOL

so when you say "morph" this only invovles one colony not multiple colonies causing the "morph". I think I undestand that "morph" is just when one colony decides to change its color.
