HOB 1.5 Skimmer

What's the best placement on the back of the rank, one of the corners or in the middle? Also how long will the little micro bubbles last?

I prefer one of the corners, but it doesn't really matter where you put it. As far as the micro bubbles go, assuming the skimmer is adjusted properly they could go away in a few days or it could last a week or longer. It's kind of hard to put a definitive number on that, but they will go away in time. Just be patient.

HOB, micro bubbles may be an issue full time. They will reduce, but may persist. I had my HOB on my sump on my old tank, in the drain area. Sump was homemade 20 high. No room in the sump for a regular skimmer.
