HOB or Sponge filter for post meta clowns?

Which is better, a Hang on Back or Sponge Filter for post meta clownfish babies?
Also, how many DPH do you like to add the filter of your choice? Thanks Lou.

I use sponge filters. When I move the eggs over to their hatchery/growout I place a sponge filter in the breeding pairs tank. After meta I place the sponge filter into the growout tank. Gives it plenty of time to get the bacteria growth it needs.

I have used hob in the past with a sponge rubber banded over the intake but just a sponge filter is much better. 2 weeks old is when I add the filter & at 3 weeks I move them to grow out.

Thanks for the advice. I saw a video of your setup. Very impressive.
What kind of tank do move them to at 3 weeks. Do you have any pictures or video of your grow out setup. I think that's my next project. Would love to hear about your grow out. Thanks for your time.

I hatch them in 5 gal tanks & soon to start hatching them in 10's. I move them into 20 gal tanks plumbed together. Their are some pictures on an old thread a few years ago. Look up "reefstews fish room"
