We're HERE!!!
What a Long Stange Trip its been! A Condenced Version of the Past 6 weeks...
On June 27th We Piled into our Pontiac Grand Am with a 10x5 Uhaul trailer in tow with all our remaining posessions (well whatever fit) and set out on our Journey to Florida. 6 days, 3000 miles, several hundered pit stops with 2 toddlers, and at least $700 worth of gas later we arrived in Sarasota SAFE. Our Children were absolute angels for the entire trip and it was an ADVENTURE that we enjoyed as thoroughly as possible given the circumstances.
It took me 3 days to find a job... I am now employed full time at a wonderful Animal Hospital as a Vet Assistant. I love My Job. My Husband Started his new career a few days after I got my job and is enjoying finally having a job that offers him what he deserves and has worked so hard for all these years.
We took possession of our new home 4 weeks ago and are finally settled in. The Kids stay with their Grandparents while we are at work and are having a blast. We took them to Sarasota Jungle Gardens and My 4 year old got to hold a Alligater! All Good Things.
My Father has had a complete turn around since we got here. His Health is improved, His attitude is Exceptional, His Outlook on life is 100x more positive than before... and his will to live has returned to him now that he has his grandsons to enjoy and watch grow. It is astounding, and I am happier than I have been in years. More importantly, my Father is happier than he has been in years.
My Tank made the trip safe and sound. All equipment as well. Presently it is empty and collecting dust... but once we find our rythem we have great plans for it. Also Since I work for a Animal Clinic that also owns a Pet Store They will order any bulbs or equipment I need at COST. No Live Goods tho
.... Tampa Bay Saltwater is a short drive away. I plan to buy My Rock there.
Its amazing... There is No Club out here that measures up to MARS, yet I've met at least 10 people who have reef tanks, and I havent had a chance to meet many people. So I was thinking ya'll should just relocate and Become the Marine Aquarists Roundtable of Sarasota... Hey ya even get to keep the same intials.
well, Yes.. I am as long winded as ever. Some things never change. But, I did want to fill you all in.
I also wanted to Thank ALL of you for Your Support, Generosity, Knowledge and Careing. I have never felt so welcome in any group before and likely never will. I hope you all wont mind if I check in now and then with pictures of my tank. Encouragement, excitement and interest in your tanks, and questions... of course.
All My Love to Everyone...
Minh: For making me feel Cool
Rich: For Making every member feel like the most important member.
Justin and Mike: For Sitting w/ me during meetings and more importantly being my friend.
Marc: Helping me Outfit my tank, and Offering a Wonderful home to my Critters.
Fragmented: Your Help, Knowledge and loving home for so many critters
Matt: KNOWLEDGE!!
Alex: KNOWLEDGE (and pictures)
oh sheesh now that I've started I should Keep going... but Lord there are so many of You and I'll start to sound Like a Damn Awards acceptance speech... best award I could hope for is "MARS' biggest Jackass" so since I've missed about 100 other members who have done so much for me I'll stop before I offend more.
TTYL,
Me, a.k.a TK, a.k.a "oh no, she's back"
