In the wild they live in scattered groups under ledges and in caves. They adjust readily to captivity and eat heartily. The smaller ones usually do better as the bigger adults sometimes have issues with bloating after collection. If you can get the occasional ones that are collected in shallower water (350') they are a little more accustomed to warmer temps (73 degrees) as opposed to those collected at 450'+ (68 degrees).
