Hole in leather coral

Hole in leather coral

Ok. So to revive this thread, I am still looking for guidance. I know it has been mentioned that these split constantly but I am having about 1-2 pieces come off weekly and am left with a smaller coral every week. However, I now have a shelf with 7-8 healthy frags. I am close to starting to discard these as they come off. Any advice.

In picture you can see white areas where edges are getting ready to separate.

Get some frag plugs and start gluing.

It would be idiotic to throw them out.

Agreed. And I am putting them on plugs. The issue though is that the main coral is getting smaller since so many pieces are coming off. Is there something I should be looking at that is causing this?

Also, none of the LFS want them as I guess this is pretty common.

This is how they work my friend. It's not stressed it's just reproducing all over the place. It's called a devils hand for a reason lol.
