Hole in wall tank, how much space from top tank to wood cross beam?

I'm planning on an in wall tank. I was wondering how many inches should the top of the tank be from the top of the wood cross beam that supports the studs above?

By allowing a few extra inches it's further from water evaporate and also the light won't hit the cross beam and cast shadow. Any idea, 6ft long by 2ft tank wide

Mine is about 7 1/2 from the water and no problems with moisture or salt creep. Although looking back i think that i would rather have it higher and instal larger doors above the tank as it nice to have the extra head room to work worth. Oh and i am running t5s 4 1/2 off the water so no chance of shadows. If you are going MH then you would not be able to get away with this.
