Hollywood Stunner Chalice

Mine seems to like being up top close to the lights, 250w 14K Phenoix. Has grown quite a bit in passed 6 months. Very sweet piece by the way.

i have mine near the bottom on a flat rock under 250's. it grows good there for me.
its doubled in size in a few months and i dont feed anything but the fish.

ok so I have 6 VHO's the LFS sold it to me and told me i have plenty of light, so do i need MH lighting or you think the 2 660 ice cap ballast on the 6 bulbs will be enough light?

your VHO's are plenty of light, they are also are decent grower.

That coral will grow extremely fast and has super long sweepers at night. No need to feed. Just make sure all other corals are not near it.

That is a sweet chalice. I have mine at the bottom of the tank under 250 MH with good growth.

I moved mine up in the rocks looking to get a little more growth out of it and the blue/purple has really gone somewhat tan on me. The eyes are still really green but it has definately lost its overall purple. Mine is under T5s. Thats what I get for being greedy for growth!

I think you mean the thread has been nonactive for a few years, not the board. Either way, what would you like to see people commenting about? I have this chalice and it's a weed. Treat it like xenia and put it on a rock that's isolated.
