I came home from work to find this on my glass. It appears to be moving up the glass. I haven't introduced any new rock or coral in a while. Anyone know what it is?

1. The description leaves some detail to be desired.

2. There's like millions of things it could be.

3. Due to factors 1 & 2, we need a picture.

4. Welcome to reefcentral :)

Sorry guys my bad. I didn't realize the pic wasn't posted. This thing is really moving up the glass.I know it's a worm, I'm just concerned if it'll unleash havoc in my tank.

I have seen a lot of worms, but if that thing is moving, I will have to concede defeat. Looks like a trail of snail eggs.

If I was to entertain the idea that it is in fact moving, I would have to say that it is some kind of thread-like parasite that will not survive in the open waters long. Structurally, it just can't be much of a predator.

I feel we may be getting played however.:fun4:

Snail eggs...hmm maybe. I haven't seen it move, it just seems to be higher up the glass than it was yesterday. I don't have much for snails, so I could always use more if that's the case. I can't say I've ever had snails lay eggs on my glass b4, guess there's a first time for everything :)
