Hey everybody long time no talk or see on here. Sorry i have been working 65 hours a week minimum. I just got back down to the springs yesterday and looked at the tank and almost fell over...........i have tons of growth and the colors are amazing but my flatworm population tooooook over. I really need some help with this but i dont know what to do........ I have a lil hair algae but not bad. I added another powerhead to add a lil more flow in the tank it was sittin kinda dead.

Anyways hopefully i can get this taken care of!

Add a target mandarin for a while... Took care of mine, just take it out if you can't get it eating prepared foods when you run out of flat worms. :D

For the hair algae, lawnmower blenny will tear it up quick or you can try a couple turbo snails but they might turn into bull dozers...

Alternative for the FW's is to syphon as many as you can see, do a FW treatment while syphoning any FW's that come out with the treatment; all while performing a massive water change. Problem I've had is the FW's will become tougher and if you don't get rid of them in the first treatment, you probably won't. IMO, best bet is to find a natural predator.

yea i did that whole FWE treatment thing and they were back the next day.....i even did a 4x dosage to make sure. But yea i wanna get a yellow wrasse or something but i have to get a fish out before i do that i have 4 already

Get a yellow coris wrasse. I have had no baddies since it was recommended I get them for pyramid snails on the clams.

Thats the problem with FWE, the directions don't work. I would start with 5X the recommended dosage, and then follow up with like 10X the next day for the tougher flat worms. The nice par about FWE is its not supposed to be toxic to anything but the worms. I did 10X in my mantis tank with no ill effects. Just don't forget to run a boat load of carbon through a canister filter.

He would need an army of wrasses there must be a million FW's in there. I'm thinking nudibranchs. I know i know the last ones died but that was from shipping stress probably so try more, I saw it work in denver at reef n pond.
