Holy Maxi-Mod!

Don't have a Lathe but will do just the normal one witht he slots in it. Will have to head up the Niagara Hobby, and yes same place. Now wonder if Home depot would have the SS Rods for the shaft. ALso what kind of glue did you use? super glue or something better?

Sorry for all the questions.

Thanks for the help
Bob

Just used superglue Bob, works like a charm :). If you decide to make yours out of pvc, consider using pvc cement. If you do the normal one with the slots in it the toughest part is getting the cowling to mount flush. There's lots of ways to do this, and it all depends on how handy you are and what tools you have at your disposal.

I didnt use diagrams, just did most stuff free-hand with calipers once I knew what the dimensions of the cowling were. Those are at home though so you'll have to wait. Work has me caught up in a game of Chuzzle atm. Nobody's here

ok... i had to google chuzzle. never heard of such a thing before :)

no hurry on anything, just my inner nerd emerging at the possibility of reviewing design drawings :)

Lol, sure thing, I'll put my numbers scribbled on a sheet of paper into a paint picture :bum:. Never did learn CAD

you can control some things more precisely when you draw it by right clicking and selecting "entity info" but it has to be while you are making a line, or immediately after. the help section isn't all that bad in the program.

I'm spoiled in that I have the luxury of a true parametric modeler here at work for such things.

I have noticed with mine if it’s to close to the side of the tank it will pull the propeller of center and make quit a racket.
