holy nudis batman

my orange zoos have not been doing great, they are closed most of the time and have been slowly withering away. When I first got them I found two nudis on them about 1-2 mm long. So I picked them out with tweezers. I have been looking and looking and have not found any more on them but the zoos were still in decline. I read yesterday on RC about FW dips, sounded crazy to me but I was about to loose the colony anyway so I figured Id give it a shot.
About twenty seconds in FW and about 50 teeny tiny little nudi's fell off. I was amazed!!! I had been looking for the bigger ones and had no idea to look for such small ones. I was sure that I had done some damage to the zoos even though the nudi's were now gone. So I put them in the tank and waited for the worst. To my suprise, within the hour they were fully extended and looked better than they have in weeks.

I am wondering if I should repeat the dip, and if I do how often should I repeat it?

You should repeat, as there are likely eggs. You may end up finding them on other zoas... I don't know the life cycle of these guys, so I'm not sure of a treatment frequency.

I would treat every 5-7 days for a month. Every zoa you have.
One egg gets bu and you stop you will have them again.
The good thing is that zoa's attract them like flys to crap.
You keep dipping every week for a month and they will be gone.

Yeah, like the others mentioned... Keep dipping to get rid of them and the new ones when the eggs hatch. I don't know the life cycle of them, but find the username "snarkys" and look up threads that he started and there was one that had a good discussion of the life cycle including pics of the eggs.

If I can time later I can look too. Wouldn't it be nice if the search button worked without paying extra money :)

Maybe Creetin can run a search for you since he's a paying member... :)

Seeing that I'm very new to zoas and want to take as much care of the ones I have now, can someone please post exact instructions for a freshwater dip? It would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.
