Soon i plan on turning a section of my basement into a breeding station for a few diffrent species. I do have a question just to see what some of you have to say on it. Does ayone see something wrong with takeing three seperate tanks and useing one 55 gal. Tank as a sump and connecting the three to it. Mainly to try and save space instead of doing a seperate sump for each tank. i will also have a uv sterilizer hooked to the sump. Any other ideas you think might be better please post anything could be helpful :idea:

I do the same thing but I linked eight 10 gallon tanks to a 30 gallon rubbermaid tub sump. I think you are on the right track.

thanks for the feed back do you know of any good pumps to look at for a return pump

Oh gosh many options. I went with an old beat up mag 18 that used to be in a pond. That thing works like a champ. Way more pump than I need but the pressure is great and it gives me the ability to plumb in more tanks if I choose.
