Homemade Frozen Food

So I have been experimenting with making some of this DIY frozen food from an article on http://www.melevsreef.com/food.html

I have a question, I emailed marc to ask about the seafood mix. I purchased this mix from Cao Nguyen a couple of days ago, and it is packaged by the same company as in marcs picture. However, I am concerned as to the package ingredients lists sugar and MSG. Will this be a problem? Another market in the Asian District also had the mix, but it was unfrozen like in the deli. I don't know which one would be safer to use...

BTW, the first batch I made included everything but the frozen mix. And everything loves it. Tangs, shrimp, the wrasse I think has an unfair advantage with the gulping down of the smaller food size.

For the fresh seafood part of the food, Walmart has a fresh mix if all kinds of fishy bits in the fish display right next to the fish counter. It is very reasonable and can have crab, muscles, squid, fish, shrimp and more. It is very reasonable.

walmarts is cooked though. And I went to two and they didnt have any. They used to, cause i used to feed the triggerfish that stuff.

Marc said the sugar and MSG would be fine, so no worries. Off to make my kitchen smell of smelt and silversides

YAYAYAYAYAYAY

shes gonna kill me

Yea, I used to buy the raw stuff at wal-mart for about $4.50 a package. It would last about a year when mushed up with a little saltwater.

I am just about out and went in to buy more, only to find it all cooked. What' up with that?

I ended up buying raw shrimp and am going to puree that instead. I don't think I will be able to feed as much of the shrimp as I would have the mix. Will just have to see what happens.

And, I don't want to spoil them to shrimp only, so I will alternate with flake and krill.

The trick to handling the nose sensitive sig-other is to serve shrimp scampi that night. Cook it for her...candles, music, you get the picture.

BTW, this stuff stanks!!!!!!!!!!!! Yes, thats a new word or stagnent/stunk.

I have to say, if death had a physical, tangible smell, that was it. PEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEYEWWWWWWWWWWWW

I start to dry heave when i smell fish, funny I can keep a tank, but jess is sweet enough to handle all the smelly stuff like that for me.
