i am going to start my first ever reef tank. if anyone has any extra live rock, or substrate, extra tanks or anything extra you don't want or need, i will take it FREE OF CHARGE...lol, btw i have no problem paying for shipping fees. just a poor 20 year old trying to have a new tank looking like all of you guys' tanks. btw, i want to get at least 2 false perc. clownfish and a beginner coral or two. i need a protein skimmer. what are you guys thoughts about DIY skimmers. whats a rough estimate it would cost for me to make one. i am on a very small budget, so i will be going very slowly with my new tank. btw it's a 20 gallon. any spare pieces, livestock, etc. would help me out a lot. thanks guys.

Miniz I live in Weatherford (SWOSU) if you ever get up this way. A friend of mine (russell_pta) lives here, but he is from Altus. I'm sure I could hook you up with some frags for cheap, and he has built a diy skimmer that works good he said.

Miniz, join COMAS and place your name on the lists for the free frags we have avilable.....well worth the $25 club membership.

Paul.

I second what Paul said. Awesome program and a good bunch of folks to hang out with. BTW Paul I'm calling you next time I come to OKC I need to see that tank...

I was just down there for the Spooker Nationals and go all the time but the season is over. Next spring though, I can bring you, from OKC, anything you can pay for.
:)

ReeferRyan in Norman is selling cured live rock for 2.50 a pound right now. And he has 30 pounds of it. You can't beat that price, especially when you are trying to fill a small tank.
