Hooking up RODI system QUESTIONS

I am going to setup my new RODI system this weekend. I have a few questions about how other poeple have their systems setup. My initial thought was to drill a hole in the block to run the line to the hose outlet on the outside. This would give me plenty of room in the garege to have my trashcan reservoir next to the unit.
Also I'll be installing a float valve in the reservoir. Does this hook up to the incoming line to turn the unit on and off?
Does this sound like it would work ok? Can anyone include pictured of their setup? Sorry so many questions I have never hooked one of these up before.

Mine is installed in my laundry room. It was "Y" off the cold water side of the washer supply line but I recently had a separate line installed.

I teed mine off my water heater "in" line... send me your e-mail and Ill send you a pic... has worked like a charm for 3 yrs

OMG thats just too funny TAMike. I recently went to sign up for a yahoo acct and tryed the same exact name because the number 18 use to be my number when I was into sports and my name is Mike and I also live in FL!! so I had to reverse it and now I know why,,ya took it already!!!, not everyday that you find out a name that you wanted to use that someone else has!! LOL sorry for off tracking this thread just figured Id share that, cause I think thats one in a million that you find out who has the name you were trying for!!

lol yea Beat ya to it lol... My number was 17 but already taken so at the time I was 18 years old so I used 18. Thats too funny
