Horeshoe crabs

Can you put horeshoe crabs in a 125g if there isn't sand at the bottom,(just the glass bottom)?

that wouldnt be a good idea IMO horseshoe crabs need sand so they can forage for food and also they fell secure buried in the sand.

It's a terrible idea for several reasons. These guys get huge (nearly 2 feet) and are big time bulldozers. They also get their food, which is primarily worms and small mollusks, by sifting it out of the sand. Even the largest home tank with a huge sandbed won't produce enough food for them. They should never come into the hobby in the first place.
