Hospital/treatment tank for Rainfodri?

I need to treat my 5 fish and QT them from my tank for 6 weeks. I want to make sure no parasites are in my tank after treatment. So I have to house 3 chromis, a false perc, and a rainfordi. My rainfordi dosen't eat prepared food. He's happy and healthy chomping on my rocks and sand. What would be a good way to QT him for parasites? I want to treat all my fish, even though my rainfordi looks fine. It's my clown who has white spek.

How many days/weeks of medicated water are needed to treat for everything? Maracyn2 for 5 days, then what do I do for the other 5 weeks with the rainfordi?? please, any practical suggestions welcome. I can set up a 10 gallon on my LR floor for a while.

I need ideas bad. Anyone?

What about setting up a *very small* (10 gallon) tank with LS and LR from my tank, then make it hypo? Will the microstuff the rainfordi eats be able to live in hypo? Would a much smaller reef even provide enough food or is he surviving from the ammount of LR and LS I have?

first thing to do is make a diagnosis. if you think your dealing with a parasite copper based treatments work the best. marcyn 2 is used to treat bacterial infections it will not kill parasites but can be used in conjunction with copper based meds to treat for secondary infections. i would let the tank sit for 8 weeks without fish to make sure the parasite has completed its life cycle. you can go the hypo route but must keep SG at 1.009. i'm not too sure what to do with your ranfordi, maybe put him in another tank with your sand and rock and treat with copper only prob being any inverts on the rock will die and since it will have copper in the rock now you won't be able to put it back in the display. good luck
