host?

I have a Heliofungia actiniformis I just got friday and wondering if the clown pair I have will host it.

They may, but it might be harmful to the coral.

Thats what I thought. It is pretty big but so is the clown. The clown has been swimming around it and they dont normally go around that part of the tank so I dont know what it is doing. If It does go in it what do I do to stop it?

Cover the coral with a strawberry basket or similar so that the clowns can't get to it, i'd say.

Havent went in it yet though. Would it be ok if they were a smaller bred like a perc?

You're fine unless the coral starts showing signs of stress or whatnot.

For some reason I feel like Heliofungia are fairly delicate, so I'm not sure they deal well with hosting clowns. Not much you can do but wait and see.

Thats how most things are in this hobby, just wait and see. I do believe i got a nice one though. It was almost a foot across today. I think it is just getting used to its new home.
