That's pretty sweet. You should patent it, license the Chevy trade mark and start selling them.

Take pictures, draw up a sketch, write up a description, mail it to yourself certified mail, DO NOT open the letter once it gets delivered. That proves when you created it. then you can go to the patent website, http://www.uspto.gov/ebc/efs_help.html , and start the process .

350 with stock manifold? looks like the manifolds they used to throw on the 70's cutlass 350 rockets to handle the holley doublepumpers they tossed on there....

I dont know I was thinking this one was the one that my dad did but he told me that he maed one like it. if he maed one out of a old moter that i had at his house then its not iron heads just the block is iron.

I was thinking the same Dan..................just rolling it around on that stand would be a big chore.
The thing probably retains heat for 4-6 hours after you shut it off:lol:

hmmm plop a couple of cutouts on the thing to close off the exhaust and turn it into a smoker....

many many variations on a theme here, perhaps hinging the valve covers and hollowing out the heads so you could put grating in there, viola upper shelves for slower cooking! and lighter to boot! Add a gas burner in the intake and mod the air filter a touch and you've got a single burner stove as well!

IIRC, a SMB Chevy motor, with everything in it weighs around 685#.

Man the thing that bugs me is cooking food in an old a$$ engine LOL
The amount of oil that has soked in those pores over the years....................I don't think you'd ever get it all out.
But this thing would be an award winner on the east coast at a Nascar tailgate party.
