House Plans

Sorry to hear about your dog, Doug. We lost our 13 year old cat last week as well and home is certainly not the same without her. I must say your build has got me excited, man.

Was perfect weather for pouring mud! Looks good to me , should of told the builder to use Dolese!
Builder that is me... I was the builder for the home we are in now. Went with Sooner for slab, footing and stem. I might use Dolese if I could get them to work with me on a builders rate. Do you have some connections for me?

We feel as if we lost a member of the family. We get really attached to our pets don't we. Sorry to about you losing your cat. Must be something about the number 13 last week.
We start the framing tomorrow. We are getting the lumber package from Fox and picked out the windows today. So the excitement is really setting in for us.

Framing is one of the best parts.Stuff seems to be happening so fast. It's the finishing work that seems to take FOREVER! I don't know why, but I've always liked walking through a stick house.

Doug, I could get you in contact with the salesman in the Yukon area I know him pretty well. How much more mud do you plan on pouring? I honestly don't know if are builder rate would be less than Sooners , you know in a lot of things you get what you pay for. If you want me to get in contact with the salesman just give me a call.

I am pleased with the concrete we recieved from Sooner not bad at all, and they are easy to work with. Later on we have all the other flat work. Large porch and patios, sidwalks and long driveway. But I would consider going with Dolese if I could get lower yard cost.

This framing stage is going fast. Coming together. Hope to have roof rafters on by Sunday.

WOW, that is going up fast. You must have a great framing crew. Another thing to think about before the plumber/ electricians starts is a generator for power outages. Now is the time to plan for the gas/ electric to the generator if you are going to use one. It is a really simple installation. If you plan now it is a LOT easier than later. Not fish related but also for summer time think about a gas stub out on the back patio for a gas grill set up. For winter time a gas stub out for a fire pit. I could go on and on.

We put on the hurricaine clips. For 20 cents in Okla winds probably well worth the money.

Now the tedious part of construction starts. Make sure to take lots, and I mean lots, of pics for future references for add ons and possible remodeling in the future. Funny how just a simple install of DirectV after the build was made easier knowing what was in the wall and where.

Yes already taken videos and still shots of where stud walls, outlets, security and cable wiring is located in walls just so I know where everything is for future.
