I think these corals are so cool looking I would really like to see some pics of the different types. I would also like to know who feeds there favites and if so what. I just got one which is purple with green centers - I want to make sure I can get it healthy again. A frogspawn was stinging it and caused some recession and some of the heads look "thin." There is some die off on one side but other than that I believe it is healthy - color is good no slim on it or anything else. There are possibly 40-55 "good" heads or polyps it.

Thanks in advance

Here is mine

Very nice piece! Have you had it long?

I am still having a difficult time telling them apart - which type is this - I noticed the "ridges" of each polyp are not shared - the one I have they are shared between connecting polyps.

Thanks! I've had it about 6 months. It was traded to me as an acan lord, obviously i've had a hard time telling them apart as well!! LOL

I'm still not sure if this is some kind of favities or a mico..

Those are great pics everyone! Does anyone target feed these corals or do you just let them get food from the water column?

I will try to post a pic of mine tonight or tomorrow. I have yet to see feeders on it. I am starting to worry about it.

The feeders on mine come out at night when the lights go off. During the day it stays mostly closed up. I will try to post some pics. tonight when I get home.

Here is one I just got. A frogspawn was laying against it and caused some dye off around the lower edge and there are some "thin" spots on the colony, I hope it will come back.

We have over 30 faviids in one of our 58s, needless to say we're addicted to them.

We have many more new ones I need to get pics of. Might have to do that today...

with these corals do you have to get each polyp to feed or if some eat does it feed the whole colony?? This new one I got is only extending a few feeders at night from a few polyps. I'm worried it is not doing good. It has only been in the tank for 4 days - maybe it needs more time to adjust??
