How are you guys converting your...

I am tring to figure out what everyone is using to to convert conductivity to salinity to density. I ask because my probe in the Profulix's fluid reads the following

Profulix 50 mS Fluid

conductivity 50 mS
salinity 32.8
density 1.0229

When I look @ Pinpoints conversion chart 50 mS should be

http://www.americanmarineusa.com/salinityconversion.html

salinity 32.8
density 1.0242

So as you can see the salinity is the same but the density is off.

Even RHF reefleeping article says

http://www.reefkeeping.com/issues/2004-06/rhf/index.php

salinity 33
density 1.0249

So seems like Pinpoint's chart and RHF is the same

What do you guys think ????

Michael and Matthias has a chart... it's a bit different. I have it but I cant locate it at the moment...

I talked to Mike he suggested to start this thread. But as you can see everything lines up w/ the 3 other then the density

Hi

as alrerady said: please use the search function for this topic to find all threads regarding this.

Summary: There are different conversion charts and the conversion depends on the salts you have in your water.
If you want to change the ProfiLux readings: feel free to use the offset function
