How are you supplementing your Ca/Alk?

I bet most of you are using reactors. I plan to drip kalk with my top off because i just can't afford a reactor and everything.
 
There are a few options

Two part is one of them, you mentioned the other popular ones

It really depends on your specific needs/wants which method to use.

I use all three. Calcium reactor/kalk top-off. When these can't keep up, I'll give a 2 part boost to help out.

I drip Kalk. Used to do 2-part... constantly had to adjust one or the other, much easier to drip a single balanced alk/ca addative IMO. Never would consider a reactor based on my tank size. hth
 
justinzimm - how do you need all three for a 30g softy tank.

anyhow, i just run a big ca reactor on my tank, if i had to does anyhting now, i would have to dose very large amounts multi times a day to keep up with demands

I would suggest Marinvit over these two that you asked about. I have had great sucess with it in the past aswell as many others. I now run a calcium reactor and kalk for top-off (much bigger tank now)...

I wouldn't just use kalk.....you would be better off using a two part additive like B-Ionic. Keep an eye on your Mg levels when using Kalk exclusively....it will drop over time. I started with kalk, switched to 2-Part, and now I run reactors for ease of usage.
