My tank stays around 80-82 during the summer. I also had it climb to nearly 85 a few days ago, so started putting a small fan on it this past week - temp seems to stay around 79 now.
I can't wait for winter (except the rain....I work outside. )
my tank stays stable between 79-80 . it peaked at 81ish couple days ago [the hottest day] .. house is kept at 78. I have a scroll looking fan that i got at walmart for about 15 bucks that works awesome, its longer and flatter so works great to blow across the surface of the water. ANDDDDD its virtually silent.
Our tanks are between 79 in morning to 82/83 at hottest point. We keep the air conditioner on at 80 mainly for the tanks. We have a fan blowing across the top of the water and a fan blowing on the sump.
125gal, no chiller, no A/C, dual 400w radiums. tank hits 86 avery once in a while, and stuff's dying. i'd recommend a chiller... I'm trying to find one myself...
I'm just telling my fish and corals to stop being little babies and get used to it. I find using a firm hand and a raised voice tends to keep them from bleaching and dying.
Then again, it could be the fact that if it never drops below 75 in my house. Electricity bill hurts, but Im not about to start sweating and having my beer turn warm minutes after opening it.

I started the morning with no power here in Elk Grove for a couple of hours. Luckily, the power was on before it got to hot, but the house did get to 84.
I left to frisco today and went to meir beach and did some surfing and played with the kids... It was a nice 85 or so on the beach.... I was in the water the whole time...
