Someone in my club has some clams for sale.
They are crocea's about 3-4" for only $30.
Is that a good size to try out or is there a good chance that it will die? I know how the smaller ones are fussy but what is a good size to start with?
I have a 29 gallon tank with a nice spot for it.
I dose my tank daily with calcium and alkaline supplement.
My levels are as follows:
SG: 1.025
PH: 8.2
Alk: 9.5-10dkh
calcium 420-440
Magnesium is on the higher side like 1500
Right now I only have power compacts but I am ordering a 4x24 watt T-5 setup as we speak so they should be in the middle-end of this week.
If you guys think I should give it the go ahead just fill me in on any other information I should know as far as acclimating them and such.
Thanks for the help,
Zac
