Huh?

Braves go out and spend and look at them. Yankees buy and buy then lose four staright to Boston. Or they lose to inferior teams in world series cause they can't play together

I guess...........but your statment "We build winners not buy 'em" is funny cause the Mets certinaly bought there fair share of mercenaries this year

We signed Delgado, traded well for others, and haven't give away the farm (system). I watch dozens of teams buy 3-5 players every year and fail.

I agree with Joe Allard...the Mets did drop some serious cash this year to get them where they are...and hey, the biggest acquisition the Braves made all season was Bob Wickman as a closer...they cant afford anyone else when Chipper, Andrew Jones, and Smoltz take up over half of the salary...it's just a shame that the streak is over...Ive never seen the Braves NOT win the division...

1. NY Yankees 198,662,180
2. Boston 120,100,524
3. LA Angels 103,625,333
4. Chicago Sox 102,875,667
5. NY Mets 100,901,085

they must have bought somebody!

The Mets may have signed a big contract in Wagner and traded for another in DelGado, but to be fair they shed a lot of payroll from last year and there payroll hasn't changed much if at all. It's also about 85% of what it was two-three years ago.

Lets Go Mets! =)

I'm going back to what I said in April. If that doesn't come true I'm blaming you.
