How can I convert a CF (PC) fixture to T5?

Greetings fellow hobbyists:

I want to convert a Coralife Aqualight Pro 48" fixture that has 2 MH and 2 PC bulbs into a 2x kessil a350 and 2 T5 fixture. Can this be done? Where do I start? I've read that I need new ballasts and end caps and reflectors? All confused but need some guidance. I'm relatively handy with DIY projects so looking forward to the build.

I'm looking for steps and where I can purchase items at a good rate. Home Depot / Lowe's would be ideal but online is fine as well

amazon,etc... not sure if HD sells end caps.. ballasts sure.. end caps not sure..

What size t5 bulb? and 1 bulb per side right? do you want single or dual channel? dimmable?

If single channel (both bulbs on same ballast) you just need a ballast for 2 x 54W T5 bulbs and the appropriate end caps and some wire..

Home Depot and Lowes both sell T5 ballasts. I have never seen and caps there, but have not really looked for them there. You could use the old reflectors although they will not be as good as proper T5 reflectors. You could buy a used 2 or 4 bulb T5 fixture and gut it for parts. It would probably be the least expensive way to go. I think I have an old 48" &or 36" T5 fixture around. I would let you have for $50.

Make sure that you get the T5 HO ballast. (look for F54 or 54 watts)
