how can i get rid of ich on a powder blue tang?

i have had a powder blue tang for about 3 weeks and it got ich about 1 week after. i have triedmany different medications but nothing is working. i cant use copper treatment because i have hermits and snails. what can i do besides QT? if there is another way

I had great luck keeping a cleaner shrimp in my tank. I got it because my tang had ich and the shrimp still cleans him all he time and I have been lucky and have not seen ich on any of my fish sence I got it good luck scott

Powder blues are notorious for Ich.

I'd find out what else other than the move to your tank is stressing him out.

Other than that. There really isn't anything I have ever seen work in a reef tank.

hypo salinity works best
had mine for over 2 years and doing fine
it's in a fo tank
had the salinity as low as 1.013
keeping it at 1.017 at present

would a uv sterilizer with a low flow help? Will it help at least?

my clowns had ich i used oodinex (im in the uk dont know if you can get it) the ich cleared up no probs and its invert friendly.... i now run a uv as a prevention, its not a cure, hope this helps good luck
