How Did You Catch Him?

I know of someone who caught 3 out of his tank relatively quickly. He fed them (at the end of a stick) so that they would learn to come get food from him. Then when they were coming out for the food, he netted them. As a I side benefit, the mantis is unlikely to eat any of your livestock since he's being well fed.

If you catch him, I wouldn't mind taking him off your hands.

Food is the attractant. You can net them or use a fish trap with appropriate bait. They can smell food quickly.

I love to watch people freak out. I found one in the display tank at the LFS. Its a 210 reef, so I showed the owner who is a friend, and helped me get my mantis. His recation was "aahhh cool" Still in there to this day. That was months ago, and the tank looks great. I look for the little sucker every time I go in but never see him.
