How do anemones start?

I have a brand new tank, LR is curing. I've seen three different spots with just one "tentacle" sticking out of a hole in the rock. Could these be the start of anemones?
One of the spots is right where we broke the rock. You can see that the tentacle goes about an inch back into the hole with only 1/4 inch or so sticking out. This same tentacle was all the same size this morning, but now has a bulge at the base of it where it comes out of what used to be it's hole.
Still trying to decypher the picture posting stuff, but I'll try to get one on photobucket tomorrow. That tentacle is tan/brown.
One is light blue and the other is tan/brown as well.

Here's the blue one....

And the brown one...

Cool, thanks for the answer. Should I scrape them out of the holes or just leave them alone.
I think the blue one is still alive. It hasn't swelled like the other two and the color's still bright.

I went in tonight and brushed a bunch of crap off the rock. Some white slimy stuff that had been growing and the two brown worms. I left the blue one. I could be totally wrong, but I just have a feeling he's still alive.
We'll see...
